Oshkosh North defeated Fond du Lac in an FVA Dual Meet at Westhaven Golf Course 209-241. Fondy’s Maisey Wilhelms had the low score for the Cardinals with a 49

Cross Country: 

North Fond du Lac/Oakfield competed at the New Holstein Meet on Thursday. The boys team finished fourth, with Xavier Lasee winning the meet championship (17:40.1). Nolan Stark was a top ten finisher as well, placing 7th (19:26.5). The NFDL/Oakfield girls team placed eighth – Avery Conger was their top finisher (26:09.6)

–Chilton is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the school’s 1969 team that went unbeaten and unscored upon, – that featured future NFL Hall-of-Famer Dave Casper. The Tigers team that season went 8-0, and outscored its opponents 363-0.

–Dexter Williams’ three yard touchdown run with just over six minutes left to play in the game proved to be the difference as the Packers downed the Chiefs to win the preseason finale at Lambeau Field Thursday night. The Packers outscored the Chiefs 20-to-7 in the second quarter, sparked by a 74-yard pick six by rookie linebacker Ty Summers. Green Bay finishes 2-2 in the preseason – up next, roster cutdowns, teams must have their roster cut down to 53 players by 3 pm on Saturday. The regular season opener is under a week away – next Thursday at Chicago
