NFL Preseason: 

Green Bay 28, Houston 26

–Tim Boyle threw for two scores in the third quarter as the Packers downed the Texans to win their preseason opener at Lambeau Field Thursday night. Green Bay led 14-10 at halftime, then expanded that lead out to 28-10 after three quarters, before Houston scored 16 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to make the final score close. 

Green Bay visits Baltimore for preseason game #2 next Thursday

Major League Baseball: 

The Brewers open a five game homestand against American League opponents tonight with the first of a three game weekend series against the Texas Rangers at Miller Park. Milwaukee is 60-56, and is coming off a sweep of Pittsburgh to wrap up a nine game road trip. Texas is 58-56, and is in third place in the American League West behind Houston and Oakland. The Rangers most recently lost two of three to Cleveland, and are 5-5 in their last 10 games. Gio Gonzalez gets the start for Milwaukee tonight against Kolby Allard for Texas. Coverage starts at 6:35, first pitch at 7:10 on KFIZ.

MLB News: 

The Field of Dreams is becoming a reality next summer. Major League Baseball announced Thursday the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees will play a regular season game at the Field of Dreams outside Dyersville, Iowa – which is home to the movie set of the 1989 movie, starring Kevin Costner and James Earl Jones. A temporary 8,000 seat stadium will be constructed in the corn on the farm site where the classic film was shot. The game will be played August 13th of 2020 and will be broadcast on FOX TV.
