Wins over the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings mean the Packers’ Matt LaFleur is the team’s first head coach since Vince Lombardi to win his first two games.  Sixty seasons ago Lombardi’s first team beat the Bears and Lions in back-to-back games. Between Lombardi and LaFleur, nine Green Bay head coaches couldn’t match that. The new Packer coach is also outperforming his contemporaries. Five other rookie N-F-L coaches have a combined record of 1-8-1 so far this season.

(Rookie coaches are Vice Fangio, Brian Flores, Kliff Kingsbury, Freddie Kitchens and Zac Taylor)
