Late Run Lifts Destiny Past Fondy Boys

Eric Roby’s three-pointer with just over a minute to go broke up a 47-47 tie and lifted Milwaukee Destiny to a 54-47 non-conference win over Fond du Lac at the Acuity Fieldhouse on Tuesday night. Fondy scored the first five points of the 2nd quarter to open up a 21-16 point lead, but Destiny rallied to take a 29-26 lead at the break and then pull out the win late. Dreshawn Samuel led all scorers with 18 points. One of the state’s top scorers Jerelle Deberry had a triple double with 17 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists. Max Schebel led the Cardinals with 14 points. Fond du Lac drops to 11-10 on the season with the loss. They wrap up the regular season on Thursday night at Neenah.
