Ledger Girls Roll To Sectional Final

The St. Mary’s Springs
Academy girls basketball team advanced
to the Division 4 Sectional Final with a 56-47 win over Howards Grove on
Thursday night at Fond du Lac
High School
.  The Ledgers trailed 19-13 with 4:57 left in
the 1st half but went on a 10-0 run to take 23-19 lead into the
halftime locker room.  St.
Mary’s Springs then went on a 2nd 10-0 run to end the 3rd
quarter and lead 41-31 after 3 quarters. 
Senior Kelli Schrauth led St. Mary’s Springs with 22 points.  Sophomore Anja Smith scored 12 of her 20
points in the 1st half and Melanie Schneider added 14.  Brittany Schaller led Howards Grove (17-8) with
13 points.  St.
Mary’s Springs (23-2) will head to Hartland Arrowhead for the Division Four Sectional
Final on Saturday afternoon against Whitefish Bay Dominican who advanced with a
44-41 win over Kenosha St. Joe’s.  The
game tips off at 1pm.  You’ll hear it on
