Ledgers Win Streak At 39

St. Mary’s Springs moved into the WIAA Division Six State Semifinals with a 56-22 win over Oshkosh Lourdes at Fruth Field on Friday night.  Senior Ike Floyd missed last weeks game with an ankle injury and returned to action with a bang.  On his first two touches of the game, he ran for touchdowns of 57 and 70 yards.  He finished the day with 277 yards on 11 carries and 5 TDs.  Sophomore Sam Spranger ran for 142 yards and 2 TDs on just 11 carries.  The win is St. Mary’s Springs’ 39th straight.  That is the 9th longest active win streak in the nation.  The win was also Bob Hyland’s 399th of his career.  That’s the most in Wisconsin history.  The Ledgers will play either Darlington or Brookwood next Saturday.
