Marian University Athletics Hall of Fame 2013 Biographies

CINDY (BERRES) TWOHIG
Softball: Was a four-time All-Lake Michigan Conference selection, twice named LMC Player of the Year and two-time All-Region choice in leading Marian softball to two regular season and conference tournament titles for the Sabres from 1998-2001. Cindy continues to rank among the all-time top-10 in numerous statistical categories, including her 12 years and counting stay as the Marian hits queen after totaling 199 career hits in 149 career games. She also ranks first in triples and total bases, while ranking 10th in home runs. Her .477 batting averaging in 1999 ranks as the all-time single-season standard at Marian, while her 62 hits that year also stand as the mark of excellence. Cindy was the first-ever Marian Female Student-Athlete of the Year honored back in 2001 and earned her degree in early childhood elementary education. She currently teaches in the Campbellsport area.

PAUL GLOEDE
Baseball: Was a three-time All-Lake Michigan Conference selection and earned the rare honor of being named All-Conference and All-District as a shortstop and pitcher for Marian baseball from 1988-91. Offensively, Paul ranks second all-time in RBIs and total bases, third all-time in hits, runs scored, doubles, triples and seventh in home runs. On the mound, his career 2.31 ERA and 21 victories rank eighth and fourth, respectively, in Marian laurels. He was 21-8 as a starter and ranks third all-time with 175 career strikeouts. Paul was a member of the first-ever four-year class for Marian baseball and his teams compiled an all-time record of 100-60-1 in the first four seasons of the program, including four regular season conference championships, two tournament titles and two district playoff appearances. Paul earned his degree in business administration and is a systems administrator at Sargento Foods Inc.

SCOTT JAEGER
Men’s Basketball: Was a four-time All-Lake Michigan Conference selection and 2002 First Team Academic All-American for the Marian men’s basketball team from 1998-2002. Scott currently ranks fourth on the all-time scoring list with 1,333 points in 102 career games, all of them starts, which ranks third all-time. He ranks second in three-pointers made (203) and seventh in three-point percentage (.392). He owns the Marian standard with 462 career assists and 182 career steals. His 378 free throws made stands out as the most in Marian history, while his 134 free throws made during the 2000-01 seasons remains the single-season record. Scott’s teams won two LMC regular season titles and the 2000-01 tournament championship to mark the program’s first NCAA tournament appearance. Scott was a two-time winner of the Marian Male Student-Athlete of the Year award back in 2001 and 2002 and earned his degree in sports and recreation management.

DAN ODEGARD

His teams went 63-38-7 over his four-year career, including four MCHA tournament appearances, one regular season title, and back-to-back conference tournament titles in 2000-01 and 2001-02. Dan captained the 2001-02 squad that put together a perfect regular season conference mark of 16-0 on the way to a second straight NCAA tournament appearance.
