NBA News & Notes – Bucks to Sign Matthews, Summer League Roster Set

The Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly agreed to a two-year deal with former Marquette star Wesley Matthews. Matthews comes to Milwaukee after ending last season with the Indiana Pacers, after stops in Dallas and with the New York Knicks. Matthews averaged 10.9 points per game with the Pacers, in 31 minutes per game. The Bucks will bring Matthews in on a veteran’s minimum salary, according to multiple sources. 

The Milwaukee Bucks have finalized their 2019 Summer League roster for action that begins on Friday in Las Vegas. Familiar faces including Sterling Brown, DJ Wilson and Bonzi Colson will be on the roster – along with Xavier Munford, who finished last season playing in Oshkosh with the Wisconsin Herd. College standouts Luke Maye from North Carolina and Fletcher Magee of Wofford College will also compete for the Bucks in Summer League action. Magee holds the NCAA Division One record for three pointers made with 509. The Bucks open summer league play on Friday against Philadelphia at 2:30 pm central time. The opening game will be televised on ESPN 2.
