Packers Clinch NFC North Title w/ Win at Minnesota

NFL:

Green Bay 23, Minnesota 10

–Aaron Jones ran for 154 yards and two scores – including a 56 yard score with 5:51 to play in the game that helped the Packers sweep the season series with the Vikings and clinch the NFC North Championship.

The Packers won despite three turnovers, including a rare interception from Aaron Rodgers in the first half, that led to all 10 of the Vikings points. Aside from those points off of turnovers, the Packers defense held Minnesota to just 139 total yards and seven first downs in the game. Linebacker Za’Darius Smith was dominant – recording three-and-a-half sacks and five tackles for loss for the Packers.

Green Bay improves to 12-3 on the year – they close out the regular season at Detroit on Sunday. Minnesota drops to 10-5, they host Chicago.

A win by the Packers and a loss by San Francisco in Week 17 would give the Packers the #1 seed for the NFC playoffs.
