Packers Dominated by Niners on SNF, Drop to 8-3 on the Year

NFL:

San Francisco 37, Green Bay 8

--It was a night to forget for the Packers - as they were dominated by the 49ers on Sunday Night Football. Jimmy Garoppolo threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns, and the Niners’ defense held the Packers to just 198 total yards on 70 plays and sacked Aaron Rodgers five times in the win. Rodgers threw for just 104 yards and a touchdown in the loss. He connected with Davante Adams for a touchdown and a two-point conversion late in the third quarter. The Packers drop to 8-3 and visit the New York Giants on Sunday. 


Chicago 19, NY Giants 14

--Allen Robinson had six catches for 131 yards and a touchdown as the Bears held off the Giants at Soldier Field. Chicago improves to 5-6 and plays Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. 


Washington 19, Detroit 16

--Redskins’ kicker Dustin Hopkins made two field goals in the final 1:49 of the game to help Washington beat Detroit for just their second win of the season. The Lions have lost four in a row and seven of eight to drop to 3-7-1 on the year. 


College Football:


Big Ten: 


With a pair of top-15 teams playing, Saturday’s game between Wisconsin and Minnesota will be more than just a Border Battle for Paul Bunyan’s ax.  E-S-P-N’s College GameDay will be there for all the action. The winner will meet Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship game. Wisconsin is coming off a 45-24 win over Purdue in the final game of the season at Camp Randall Stadium.  Jonathan Taylor rushed for 222 yards and a touchdown Saturday in what may be his last home game – if he goes pro. Sunday’s Associated Press Top-25 football poll ranks the Gophers ninth and the Badgers 13th.

The Wisconsin Badgers meet undefeated, high-scoring Richmond in the Legends Classic tournament in Brooklyn tonight at 6:00 P-M. The Spiders are fourth in the nation with a scoring output of 92.5 points-a-game. Brad Davison leads the Badgers in scoring with an average of 15.6 points-a-game, closely followed by Nate Reuvers at an even 15.  Both teams are riding winning streaks of four games in-a-row. Coverage starts at 5 tonight on KFIZ.
