Green Bay Wins 4th Straight

The Green Bay Packers won their 4th straight game on Sunday, downing the Arizona Cardinals 31-17 at Lambeau Field.  After struggling to get the run game going over the last few weeks, Green Bay ran it 39 times for 176 yards.  James Starks carried it 17 times for 61 yards and Alex Green added 11 carries for 53.  Aaron Rodgers completed 14 of 30 passes for 218 yards and 4 TDs.  He also threw one pick.  Randall Cobb caught a pair of first half touchdowns as Green Bay built a 21-7 lead at the half.  After a Mason Crosby field goal made it 24-7, Arizona scored 10 points to cut the lead to 7 at 24-17.  Rodgers then gave Green Bay some breathing room by hitting tight end Tom Crabtree on a 72 yards scoring strike on the last play of the 3rd quarter.  That was the longest pass play of the season for the Pack.  Neither team scored in the 4th quarter.  The win improves Green Bay to 6-3 on the season.  After battling a hamstring injury, WR Jordy Nelson left the game early with an ankle injury.  RT Brian Bulaga left with a hip problem and LB Clay Matthews exited the game with a hamstring injury.  Green Bay has the bye next week and then return to action on November 18th at Detroit.
