Saturday’s High School Results : 9/22/18

Girls Volleyball:

St. Mary’s Springs took third place at the Lake Country Lutheran Invite, defeating Sevastopol (25-11, 25-19) and Hustisford (25-22, 25-13) and losing to Lake Country Lutheran (21-25, 11-25) and Waterloo (22-25, 20-25). Katie Baker had 34 digs, Rachel Petersen 30 assists, Breanna Freund 20 kills and three blocks for SMSA.

Winnebago Lutheran went 0-5 at the Lutheran Invitational Tournament at Wisconsin Lutheran College, losing to Watertown Luther Prep (15-25, 11-25), Fox Valley Lutheran (13-25, 23-25), Manitowoc Lutheran (12-25, 19-25), Illinois Lutheran (13-25, 25-8, 10-15) and Shoreland Lutheran (22-25, 25-16, 11-15). Alyssa Lorenz had 22 kills and 12 blocks, Luci Baus added 28 assists, Shania Shea had eight aces and 11 digs for WLA

Lomira went 3-1 at their home invite, defeating Oakfield (25-15, 25-16), Cambria-Friesland (23-25, 25-16, 19-17) and Horicon (25-17, 25-19) and losing to Valley Christian (18-25, 22-25)

Waupun took third place at the Valders Invite, losing to Howards Grove (10-25, 9-25, 5-25), defeating Green Bay West (25-19, 25-13) and losing to Valders (18-25, 23-25)

Boys Soccer:

Fond du Lac 5, Ashwaubenon 0

Xavier 5, St. Lawrence Seminary 1

Cross Country:

Manitowoc Invite

The Fond du Lac girls team placed 3rd overall, with two finishers inside the top ten for the invite. Riley Collett led the way, taking second place individually (19:04). Madison Hughes was in eighth place individually (19:52). Also placing in the top 20 was Ally Schmitz, who took 14th (20:32).

The Fond du Lac boys team placed 12th, Adam Buerger led the team individually placing 48th (18:24).

Lourdes Invite

The North Fond du Lac/Oakfield boys team placed ninth, Diego Charbonneau took fifth place individually to lead the North Fondy/Oakfield boys (16:53.37).

The North Fondy/Oakfield girls placed 21st, with Emma Maravilla placing 81st individually to lead the team (22:42.08)

The St. Mary’s Springs boys team placed 16th, Isaac Shannon placed eighth individually to lead the way (17:04.52)

The St. Mary’s Springs girls team placed 22nd with Lizzie Guerrin placing 43rd individually to lead the team (21:48.45)

The Laconia boys team placed 20th, Derek Stahmann placed 65th individually to lead the way for the Spartans (18:31.99)

The Laconia girls placed 24th, with Cyna Madigan placing 13th individually to lead the team (20:43.38)
