The Milwaukee
Brewers will be sending four players to the All-Star Game in Minnesota
Third baseman Aramis Ramirez and outfielder Carlos Gomez were voted into
the National League starting lineup while catcher Jonathan Lucroy and closer
Francisco Rodriguez were both named reserves. 
The Mid-Summer Classic is a week from tomorrow. 

 

Jay Bruce broke
an 0x26 streak with a two run homer off of Will Smith in the bottom of the 8th
that gave the Reds a 4-2 win over the Brewers on Sunday in Cincinnati.  Yovani Gallardo gave up just 2 runs and 8
hits in 7 innings of work but settles for a no decision.  Logan Schaefer went 2×3 with two runs scored
in the loss.  The Brewers open up a four
game series with Philadelphia tonight at Miller Park.

The semifinals
are set for the World Cup.  On Tuesday, Brazil will take on Germany
and then on Wednesday it will be Argentina
and the Netherlands.  The World Cup Final is on Sunday.

 

Angel Cabrera
won the PGA Tour’s Greenbrier Classic on Sunday. He was two shots better than
George McNeil.  Steve Stricker tied for
34th

 

Novak Djokovic
won the Wimbledon men’s title by beating Roger
Federer.
