–Eric Gilgenbach hit his 8th home run of the season in the loss for Fondy. The two teams meet again tonight at Herr-Baker Field. First pitch is 6:35 pm.

–The Pirates pushed two runs across in the bottom of the fifth inning to break a 2-2 tie and complete the four-game sweep of the Brewers at PNC Park on Thursday afternoon. Johnathan Villar and Brett Phillips each doubled in the loss for Milwaukee, their fifth straight. Jimmy Nelson took the loss on the mound for the Brewers, going five innings, allowing four runs on six hits while striking out five. Nelson drops to 8-5 on the year. The Brewers open a weekend series in Philadelphia against the Phillies tonight, coverage starts at 5:30, first pitch is 6:05 pm on KFIZ.

Golf: Three Americans finished day one tied atop the leaderboard at the British Open. Jordan Spieth, U.S. Open champion Brooks Koepka and Matt Kuchar all fired 5-under par 65s. Kuchar teed off early this morning to begin the second round, while Speith and Koepka are to play in the afternoon at Royal Birkdale.
