Packers GM Ted Thompson added
some beef up front on the defensive line on Thursday night.  With the 27th pick in the 1st
round, he selected UCLA defensive tackle Kenny Clark.  The 6’3, 310 pound defensive lineman was a 1st
team All-Pac 12 player last season which saw him collect 75 tackles and six
sacks.  Green Bay will have two more picks barring a
trade in rounds 2 and 3.

A pair of quarterbacks went
1-2 in last night’s draft.  The LA Rams
took Cal QB Jared Goff with the top pick.
Philadelphia
selected North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz with the 2nd pick.

In the NFC North, the Bears
traded up to the 10th spot to take Georgia linebacker Leonard
Floyd.  At #16 the Lions take Ohio State
offensive tackle Taylor Decker.  At #23
the Vikings grab Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell.

The Cubs Jake Arrieta picked
up his 18th straight win as Chicago
dominated the Brewers 7-2 on Thursday afternoon at Wrigley Field.  Alex Presley drove in both Brewers runs.  Taylor Jungmann dropped to 0-4 with the loss.  The Crew opens up a three game weekend series
with the Marlins at Miller
Park
tonight.  Zach Davies takes on Adam Conley.  Coverage begins at 6:35pm on KFIZ.

The Brewers expect 2B Scooter
Gennett to miss about 3 weeks with an oblique injury.  They have called infielder Hernan Perez from
Triple-A Colorado Springs

County Meet Thursday night. Despite the late
drizzly weather, quite a few great performances were witness by those in the
stands. This meet had seven teams in attendance containing division 1, 2, and 3
schools. There are no team scores kept but there are two meet MVP’s as voted on
by the coaches. This year the boys MVP was Sam Spranger from St. Mary’s
Springs. He won the 200m, 400m, high jump, and as [art of the 4x400m relay. The
girls MVP ended up being a tie between Annie Moore from Fond du Lac and Frannie
Sokolik from North Fond du Lac. Moore won the 1600m,
800m, and as part of the 4x800m relay. Sokolik won the 200m, high jump, long
