Sports – Friday, August 21st, 2015

St. Mary’s Springs opened the 2015 high school football
season with an impressive 42-20 win at Shiocton on Thursday night.  Senior Sam Spranger ran for 93 yards
including a 49 yard TD run on the last play of the 1st half to bust
up a 14-14 tie.  Junior Flinton Floyd had
121 yards and TD runs of 52 and 44 yards. 
The Ledgers will host Amherst
on Saturday, August 29th at 1pm.

The Fond du Lac football team opens their season
tonight at Appleton East.  Fondy made it
to the state quarterfinals last season while Appleton East also qualified for
the post season.  You’ll hear tonight’s game
on KFIZ.  Coverage begins at 5:30pm with
the Tim Cruz Agency American Family Insurance Pregame Show.  The game kicks off at 7pm.
