The Green Bay Packers host the Seattle Seahawks tonight in their 3rd preseason game.  With high school football on KFIZ, you can hear the entire broadcast on our sister station K107.1-FM.  Coverage begins at 5pm with the kickoff set for 7pm.  We’ll join the game in progress on KFIZ after Fondy football.

Braun Issues Statement

Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun issued a statement of apology through the team on Thursday night.  Braun said that he used a cream and took a lozenge of some sort to help heal an injury in 2011.  He apologized for his actions and said he deserved to be suspended. 

Brewers On Road

The Brewers open up a three game series with the Reds tonight in Cincinnati.  Yovani Gallardo takes on Homer Bailey. 

PGA Tour Playoffs

Kevin Stadler fired a seven under par 64 to take a one shot lead over three golfers at the Barclays in the first round of the FedEx Cup Playoffs.  Tiger Woods had a first round 67.

High School Football on KFIZ

The high school football season opens up for most teams across the state tonight.  Fond du Lac hosts Appleton North in a non-conference game at Furth Field.  Appleton North won the Valley Football Association North Division last year and is the favorite again this year.  Fond du Lac is coming off of a 3-5 campaign in the first season under head coach Mike Gnewuch.  Coverage begins at 5:30pm with the Backyard Grill Kickoff Show.  The Cardinals and Lightning kickoff at 7pm on KFIZ and kfiz.com.    

Springs Football on KFIZ

St. Mary’s Springs opens up their season on Saturday night when they host Sheboygan Falls.  You’ll hear that game on KFIZ and kfiz.com presented by the BCI Burke Company.  Coverage begins at 6:30pm.
