UW-Green Bay took
down Horizon League rival Milwaukee 81-70 at the
Resch Center last night.  Alfonzo Mckinnie led the Phoenix with 23 points and 10 rebounds.  Matt Tiby had 22 for the Panthers.

 

The Buck ride a five game
winning streak into tonight’s game at Houston.  The Bucks are 27-22 on the season and have
the #5 seed in the NBA’s Eastern Conference.   The Bucks don’t have any official all-stars
this year, but a pair of their young players will be at All-Star Weekend in New York.  It was announced earlier that Giannis would
be in the Slam Dunk Contest.  Now we find
out that Brandon Knight will take part in the Skills Challenge on All-Star
Saturday Night.

 

Nicholas Thompson holds a one
shot lead over Michael Thompson after the first round of the Farmers Insurance
Open at Torrey Pines.  Thompson is -8.
Tiger Woods withdrew after 11 holes citing a sore back.  He was 2-over par.

Hockey Tournament moves to the Blue Line tonight as every team in the league
will be in action.  Fond
du Lac
will play #1 seed Appleton
in a semifinal at 5:30pm. Oshkosh
and Neenah-Hortonville-Menasha will play at 8pm. St. Mary’s Springs will face
Fox Cities in at Consolation Bracket game in Rink B at 7:30pm.  The losers of tonight’s semifinals will face
off at 1pm on Saturday for 3rd place with the Championship Game set
for 3pm.
