Driver To Retire?

USA Today is reporting that Packers WR Donald Driver may be ready to announce his retirement.  Driver barley got on the field this season in Green Bay and was inactive for the first playoff game.  He has always said his goal to was to play until he was 40.  The 14-year veteran turns 38 next week.

 

Jennings, Ellis All- Star Snubs

Bucks guards Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis were not named as a reserves on the Eastern Conference All-Star Team.  The coaches chose Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving and Philly’s Jrue Holiday as backup guards.   Milwaukee hasn’t had an All-Star since Michael Redd was on the team back in 2004.  The Bucks are in Cleveland tonight and then host Golden State on Saturday night.

 

Tony Plush Goes To Japan…Marcum To Mets

Former Brewers outfielder Nyjer Morgan has signed a one-year contract to play baseball in Japan in 2013.  After hitting just .239 for the Brewers last season, the man also known as Tony Plush, refused an assignment to Triple-A Nashville and became a free agent.  He’ll play for the Yokohama BayStars.  Pitcher Shaun Marcum inked a one-year deal with the New York Mets.

 

Fondy Hoops On KFIZ

The Fond du Lac boys basketball team travels to Oshkosh North tonight.  Fondy has dropped two in a row and sits at 6-6 in the FVA and 8-6 overall.  Oshkosh North is 10-2 in the league, one game behind conference leader Neenah.  Coverage begins at 7:05pm with the Backyard Grill Pregame Show on KFIZ and streaming at kfiz.com.

 

Vikings & Ledgers: Coaches vs. Cancer

The Winnebago Lutheran boys basketball team hosts cross-town rival St. Mary’s Springs tonight.  It’s their annual Coaches vs. Cancer fundraising night.  There will be lots of things going on tonight to support and raise funds for Agnesian Foundation for local cancer care.  The tip for the varsity game is set for 7:30pm.
