Jonathan Lucroy hit a two run homer in the 1st and Carlos Gomez added a solo shot in the 3rd, but the Brewers bullpen couldn’t hold the lead as Arizona picks up the 5-3 on Thursday night.  Jim Henderson walked the bases loaded and then gave up the go-ahead single to Martin Prado in the 8th inning to get hung with the loss.  Yovani Gallardo gave up just 3 runs on 4 hits in six innings of work but takes the no decision. The series continues tonight as Tom Gorzelanny gets the start against Patrick Corbin.  Coverage begins at 8:05pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

Braun Out Again

The Brewers will be without Ryan Braun for the final three games before the All-Star break.  He was placed on the bereavement list to deal with a family issue.  He must sit at least three games.  Outfielder Khris Davis was called up from Triple-A Nashville.

Bucks Summer League

The Bucks continue to get ready for their Las Vegas Summer League opener on Saturday night against Denver.  The teams will play three games before moving to a new single elimination tournament to crown a league champion.  First round pick Gennis Antentokounmpo is not on the roster.  He’s playing for Greece in the European U20 Championships in Estonia.  Last year’s first round pick John Henson is in Las Vegas as well as 2nd round pick Nate Wolters from this year’s draft.

Trade Done

The Bucks completed the trade to acquire point guard Luke Ridnour from Minnesota on Thursday.  They also get a 2nd round pick.  They send the rights Szymon Szewczyk to Oklahoma City.  He was a 2003 2nd round pick who never came over from Europe to play in the NBA.

PGA Tour

Zach Johnson and Camilo Villegas share the first round lead at the John Deere Classic on the PGA Tour at seven under par.  Wisconsin native Steve Stricker is three shots off the pace.  Jerry Kelly is four shots back.
