The Brewers jump back into
action tonight after the All-Star break as they host Pittsburgh for a three game weekend
series.  Mike Fiers will start against
Charlie Morton tonight in Game 1.  Coverage
begins at 6:35pm on KFIZ.

 

Brett Favre will be inducted
into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame this weekend.  Lambeau Field is sold out for the event as
fans will watch the ceremony on the big screen. 

 

Badger running back Corey
Clement has been placed on the preseason watch list for the Doak Walker Award
which is given annually to college football’s top running back.  Wisconsin
is the only school in college football history to have three Doak Walker
winners in Ron Dayne, Montee Ball, and Melvin Gordon.

 

The Phoenix Suns burned the
Bucks 106-80 in the 2nd round of the tournament at the Las Vegas
Summer League.  1st round pick
Rashad Vaughn led the way with 17 points.  The Bucks will face the New York Knicks
tonight.

 

The Fond
du Lac
Post 75 American Legion baseball team is still alive in the
U17 Regionals in Sheboygan.  Post 75 notched forfeit victory over
Allenton, then blanked Oconomowoc 10-0. 
Jack Cole and Dan Schneider combined on a 1 hitter.  Post 75 will take on the host Sheboygan squad today at
4:30pm.

 

The WIAA Regional Summer
Baseball Tournament continues today as New Holstein hosts Campbellsport at
5:30pm.

 

The British Open is battling
the elements this morning at St. Andrews with
long rain delays.  Dustin Johnson is the
1st round leader at -7.   With
all of the rain, the 2nd round will not be completed today
