The Bucks were very active on
draft night last night in the NBA.  With
the 17th pick in the 1st round the Bucks took UNLV shooting guard Rashad
Vaughn.  As a freshman he averaged 17.8
points per game and shot 38% from beyond the 3-point arc.  The Bucks traded away their 2nd round pick
and a draft protected 2017 first round pick they got in the Jared Dudley trade
to Toronto in
exchange for veteran guard Greivis Vasquez. 
Kentucky center Karl Anthony-Towns was
taken with the #1 overall pick by Minnesota.

 

Former Badger Frank Kamisky
was selected #9 by the Charlotte Hornets. 
His Badger teammate Sam Dekker was taken at #18 by the Houston
Rockets.   Milwaukee Hamilton grad Kevon
Looney went to Golden
State
at #30 after one
season at UCLA.  Menomonee
Falls
and former North Carolina Tar Hell J.P. Tokoto was taken by
the 76ers late in the 2nd round.

 

The Mets blanked the Brewers
2-0 on Thursday afternoon at Miller
Park
.  Taylor Jungmann gave up just 4 hits in five
scoreless inning.  Michael Blazek took
the loss.  The Crew opens a three game
weekend series with Minnesota tonight at Miller Park.  Coverage begins at 6:35pm on KFIZ.

par 62 to take a two shot lead at the Travelers Championship on the PGA Tour.

 

Fond du Lac native Dave Haase finished 2nd in the 3000
mile Race Across America on Thursday. 
The 47-year-old owner of Attitude Sports finished the ultra-cycling
event from Oceanside, California
to Annapolis, Maryland in 8 days, 20 hours, and 6
minutes. 

 

The WIAA Board of Controls
approved the way high school boys and girls basketball games will be played in
the 2015-16 school year.  Varsity games
will now be played as two 18 minute halves rather than four 8 minute quarters.  They adjusted how the preliminary rounds of
the state tournament will play played. 
D3 semifinals will now be on Thursday afternoon.  The D4 Semis on Thursday night.  The Division 5 semifinals will be on Friday
morning, followed by D2 in the afternoon and D1 on Friday night.

to Oshkosh on
Thursday night at Herr-Baker Field. Ryan Norton went 2×3 in the loss.  Post 75 will head to Appleton for a single game tonight.
