The Bucks got
their man in last night’s NBA Draft. 
With Cleveland taking Kansas’ Andrew Wiggins with the 1st
overall pick, the Bucks selected Duke’s Jabari Parker with the 2nd
overall pick.  In the 2nd
round the Bucks took 19-year-old Damien Inglis out of France with the
31st overall selection.  At
#36 LSU power forward Johnny O’Bryant was their man. Milwaukee
selected Lamar Patterson out of Pitt at #48 and then shipped him to Atlanta for a 2015 2nd
round pick.

 

UW-Green Bay center Alec Brown was taken by the
Phoenix Suns in the 2nd round with the 50th overall pick.

 

Rickie Week’s
hit a leadoff homer in the 1st and the Brewers never looked back
beating the Rockies 7-4 on Thursday night at Miller Park.  The Rockies
only runs came on a grand slam by Ryan Wheeler in the 4th.  Wily Peralta gave up just those four runs in
six innings to notch his 9th win of the season.  Francisco Rodriguez notched save #26 on the
year.   The series continues tonight as
Kyle Lohse gets the start for Milwaukee.  Coverage begins at 6:35pm on News-Talk 1450

The United States was beaten by Germany 1-0 on Thursday but still advanced to
the knockout round of the World Cup thanks to Portugal’s
2-1 win over Ghana.  Team USA
will play Belgium
on Tuesday afternoon in the round of 16. 

 

Tiger Woods shot
a 3-over-par 74 in his return to the PGA Tour at the first round of the Quicken
Loans National.  Woods did birdie three
of the last six holes. Greg Chalmers leads the event at -5.
