NBA Draft

The took a big gamble with their first round draft on Thursday night.  GM John Hammond selected 18-year-old Giannis Antentokounmpo from Greece. His body style is compared to Kevin Durant but may not be ready to play in the NBA right now.   In the 2nd round the Bucks selected Providence guard Ricky Ledo but shipped him out in a four team deal and end up with South Dakota State guard Nate Wolters.  He could actually see a lot of minutes at point guard for the Bucks this season.   Cleveland took UNLV’s Antony Bennett with the 1st overall pick.

State Prospects Not Picked

Marquette’s Vander Blue left school early to the enter the NBA Draft and was not drafted last night.  He does have offers to play with a handful of teams in the NBA Summer League as a free agent.   Badger big man Jared Berrgren didn’t get selected but will also try and latch on with an NBA Summer League team.
