It was a wild first full day
of the NCAA Tournament across the country. 
A pair of #14 seeds pulled of major upsets at Georgia State
knocked out #3 Baylor 57-56.  #14 UAB
also took down 3rd seeded Iowa
State
60-59.  Other lower seeds to win included #11 UCLA
over #6 Butler
60-59 on a controversial goal tending call late.  10th seeded Ohio State
beat #7 VCU 75-72 in overtime.   There
will be 16 more games today.  The top
seeded Wisconsin Badgers will tip against #16 seed Coastal Carolina tonight at
8:20pm in Omaha.  Coverage begins at 7pm on News-Talk 1450

The Bucks have lost 11 of
their last 14 games going into tonight’s matchup with the Nets in BrooklynMilwaukee sits at 34-34
on the season. They hold the 6th spot in the Eastern
Conference. 

 

The Brewers took the “lame
duck” label off of manager Ron Roenicke on Thursday by picking up the club
option for the 2016 season.    The team
had not extended his deal after their late season collapse last year.

 

The Giants edged the Brewers
3-2 on Thursday afternoon in Arizona.  Tyler Thornburg gave up 2 runs and 4 hits in
3 innings of work. Matt Long homered for The Crew.  The Brewers host the Diamondbacks this
afternoon.  There is no radio coverage.

 

Marian baseball team wrapped
up their Arizona
trip with a 14-1 loss to Lubbock Christian on Thursday.  The Sabres were 2-7 on the trip.  Marian is set to travel to UW-Platteville for
a double header on March 25th.
