The Marian University men’s basketball team will make their first appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament since 2001 tonight as they travel to #1 seed UW-Stevens Point. Marian is 22-6 while the Pointers are 26-1. The tip is set for 8pm.


The Horizon League Men’s Basketball Tournament continues today at the Resch Center in Green BayOakland plays Wright State at 6pm with the winner playing Cleveland State on Saturday.   Then at 8:30pm, Milwaukee plays Valparaiso with the winner getting Green Bay on Saturday night in the league semifinals. 


Michigan State thumped Iowa 86-76 last night to stay even with the Badgers in the Big Ten.  UW has the tie breaker so if they beat Nebraska on Sunday they will be the #2 seed in the Big Ten Tournament, If the Spartans beat Ohio State and Bucky loses, MSU will get the #2 seed.


ESPN reported on Thursday that the Packers have offered defensive lineman BJ Raji a one-year deal worth about $4 million dollars.   The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports today that Raji wasn’t interested in the deal.


The Brewers took down the Rockies 5-3 in Cactus League play on Thursday.  Carlos Gomez had a pair of hits while Kyle Lohse gave up two runs and three hits in three innings of work.  The Brewers play San Diego this afternoon.  No radio broadcast today.

The WIAA Girls Basketball Tournament continues tonight with Regional Semifinal action.  We’ll be out on the Ledge as St. Mary’s Springs hosts Howards Grove.  Coverage begins at 6:35pm with the Backyard Grill Pregame Show.  The tip is set for 7pm presented by BCI Burke Company.  The playoffs are brought to you by Taco Bell.
