The Atlanta
Braves rallied for three runs in the 7th to nip the Brewers 5-4 on
Thursday night.  Ryan Doumit tied up the
game with a single in the 7th when Ron Roenicke called for Will
Smith in the bullpen when he hadn’t thrown a warm-up pitch.   Brandon Kintzler took the loss in relief of
Matt Garza.  Jonathan Lucroy drove in
a  pair in the loss.  Milwaukee’s
lead in the National League Central is down to 1.5 games over St. Louis. The Brewers open up a weekend
series in Miami
tonight.  Marco Estrada takes on Tom

The NBA Playoffs
were off last night and tonight.  The
Eastern Conference Finals shift to Miami
on Saturday night where the Heat and Pacers are tied at 1-1.  The Western Conference Finals move to Oklahoma City on Sunday night with San Antonio leading the Thunder 2-0.

 

Bucks
forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has been named to the 2013-14 NBA All-Rookie
Second Team.. Antetokounmpo, the 15
th pick in the draft by Milwaukee last summer, becomes the first Buck
to receive an All-Rookie Team nod since Brandon Jennings earned First Team
honors following the 2009-10 season.

 

Montreal beat the NY Rangers 3-2 in overtime on
Thursday in the NHL”s Eastern Conference Finals.  The Rangers still lead the series 2-1  The Western Conference Finals get going again
on Saturday night when the LA Kings host the Chicago Blackhawks.  That series is tied at 1-1.

 

American soccer
star Landon Donovan had been left off the 23 man World Cup team that will play
in Brazil
this summer.

WLA won the
Flyway Conference Meet at Lawsonia by 17 shots over St. Mary’s Springs and
KML.  The Vikings Chris Colla was the
meet medalist with a 78. St. Mary’s Springs’
Brady Sarauer was 2nd with an 83.
