Fintan Floyd rushed for three touchdowns and Clay Schueffner added two of his own as Saint Mary’s Springs crushed Mayville 64-7 Thursday night at Fruth Field. The Ledgers led 48-0 at halftime and finish the regular season at 9-0 with the playoffs beginning next week.  

Week 9 continues tonight.

Fond du Lac hosts Marshfield for the annual homecoming game at Fruth Field tonight. Cardinals’ Head Coach Mike Gnewuch says stopping the Tiger’s ground game has been a focus for his team this week.  Coach Gnewuch says that protecting the football on offense is another key tonight.

The Winnebago Lutheran Vikings host Lomira tonight to wrap up their regular season. Head Coach John Boggs says his team will focus on stopping the Lions’ rushing attack tonight. On offense, Boggs says their plan is to sustain drives.

Fond du Lac boys finish 4th at FVA meet, girls take 7th.

Flyway Conference Meet:

North Fond du Lac/Oakfield Girls repeat as conference champs. Faith Peebles led the way, finishing 8th, earned 1st team all conference honors for the 3rd consecutive year.

Also in the Flyway Conference Meet: Lomira girls place 2nd, St. Mary’s Springs Girls 3rd, Mayville Girls 4th, Laconia girls 5th, Winnebago Lutheran girls 7th

North Fond du Lac/Oakfield Boys finished 2nd in the Flyway Conference Meet. Diego Charbonneau led the way finishing 4th individually.

Baseball: Dodgers advance to the NLCS against the Cubs with a 4-3 win over Washington. That series begins Saturday night in Chicago. Tonight, the ALCS gets underway as Cleveland hosts Toronto.

NFL: Thursday Night Football, the Chargers hand the Broncos their 2nd straight loss, 21-13.
