The Cubs salvaged the final game of their series with the Brewers on Thursday, nabbing the 5-1 win at Miller Park.  Kyle Lohse takes the loss and drops to 10-10 on the season.  Milwaukee opens up their final home series of the season tonight when they host St. Louis.

 

In the NL Central, Pittsburgh beat San Diego and the Rockies beat St. Louis, leaving the Cardinals with a 1 game lead over Pittsburgh and  a two game lead over St. Louis.  The Dodgers clinched the NL West last night with a 7-6 win over Arizona.  The Red Sox have also clinched a playoff spot.

The Packers will put the finishing touches on the game plan today as they get ready to head to Cincinnati for Sunday’s matchup with the Bengals.  Head coach Mike McCarthy says that RB Eddie Lacy has been making progress and if he can practice today, may be able to play on Sunday as he recovers from a concussion.  Sunday’s kickoff is set for Noon.  Coverage begins at 10am on KFIZ and streaming at kfiz.com.

 

The Badgers open up the Big Ten season on Saturday when they host Purdue at Camp Randall.  Coverage begins at 12:30pm with the kickoff at 2:30pm on KFIZ.

 

Henirik Stenson shot a six-under 64 and holds a one shot lead over Adam Scott at the PGA Tour Championship. Steve Stricker and Billy Horschel are two shots back.  Tiger Woods is 9 off the pace.
