It’s week three of the High School Football season tonight….

The Fond du Lac Cardinals look to rebound from their loss to Appleton North in week two with a game at Stevens Point. The Panthers are 2-0 with wins over Wausau West and Wausau East. Head coach Mike Gnewuch talked Stevens Point’s Offense and their Running Back Gus Turner-Zick, saying  he’s a tough, hard runner, they run the power offense, which is similar to the Cardinals’ offense, so what they’ve seen in practice isn’t unfamiliar to the players.

Our coverage begins at 5:30 with the Tim Cruz American Family Insurance kickoff show at 5:30, kickoff at 7pm from Goerke Field at Stevens Point. Join myself and Matt Huinker on the call here on KFIZ.

After a win at Amherst last week, Saint Mary’s Springs will play one more non-conference game tonight against Ozaukee before opening play in the Flyway Conference next week. Ledgers head coach Bob Hyland says they’re expecting a battle from the Warriors, because they want to prove they belong with the elite teams in the state. Coach Hyland believe’s his team’s  line is better and has better team speed.

The Winnebago Lutheran Vikings are 2-0, coming off a dominating 45-7 win over Kenosha Saint Joe’s in week two. Tonight WLA travels to North Fond du Lac, where the Orioles boast the leading rusher in the state through the first two weeks of the season in Griffin Brunet. Head coach John Boggs says his team will have to use their speed to stop the Oriole attack and limit Brunet’s space to run.

The Laconia Spartans are 2-0 and open the Flyway Conference slate on the road at Lomira this week. Head coach Mark Madigan shares his keys to a win tonight are to limit big plays, keep the offense on the field and score points in the red zone
