Men’s College Soccer:


Marian 4, Concordia-Chicago 1

--Alonso Fragoso netted a hat trick for the second straight game to help the Sabres to victory.


Women’s College Soccer:


Marian 4, Concordia-Chicago 0


Women’s College Golf:


Marian women’s golf shot a third-round score of a 457 to finish in sixth place at the NACC Championship. Junior Taylor Wise finished in third place with a third round score of an 88, and a three-round total of a 263. Wise earned a spot on the all-NACC team for the third straight year.


Men’s College Golf:


Marian shot a first round team score of a 310 to sit in third place at the MSOE invitational. Christian Taylor led the way for the Sabres with a 74 and sits in third place individually.


Major League Baseball:


National League:


Milwaukee 6, St. Louis 1

--A four-run first inning, including a three-run home run from Brett Phillips helped the Brewers defeat the Cardinals in the season finale at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Aaron Wilkerson earned his first major league win, allowing a run on two hits and striking out five in seven innings of work. The Brewers end the 2017 season with an 86-76 record, 13 more wins than in 2016 and in second place in the NL Central.

Pittsburgh 11, Washington 8


American League:


Minnesota 5, Detroit 1


Cleveland 3, Chicago White Sox 1


Interleague:


Arizona 14, Kansas City 2


The MLB Playoffs begin Tuesday with the American League Wild Card game, as the Yankees host Minnesota. Wednesday is the National League Wild Card game, with Arizona hosting Colorado.


NFL:

Detroit 14, Minnesota 7

--Ameer Abdullah ran for 90 yards and the Lions’ only touchdown, as Detroit rallied with an 11-point third quarter to defeat the Vikings at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Next week, Detroit hosts Carolina while Minnesota travels to Chicago for Monday Night Football.


Tonight on Monday Night Football, Washington visits Kansas City. Coverage begins at 7pm after “In The Huddle” on KFIZ.


College Football:


The Badgers climbed in both national polls after their 33-24 win over Northwestern on Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium. Wisconsin climbed one spot to number nine in the Associated Press Top 25, and climbed two spots to number eight in the USA Today Coaches Poll. In the AP Poll, the top four remains unchanged with Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma and Penn State in the first four spots. Georgia rises two spots to number five this week, with Washington at six, Michigan at seven, TCU at eight, the Badgers ninth and Ohio State at 10. Wisconsin travels to Nebraska on Saturday. Kickoff is 7pm.


Men’s College Hockey:


Wisconsin 3, Michigan Tech 2

--Freshman Linus Weissbach had two goals for the Badgers in the win.
