The Badgers football team moved up to 7th in both national polls following their 21-7 win over Northwestern on Saturday. Wisconsin climbed one spot from eighth in both the USA Today Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25. In the AP Poll, the top six remains unchanged with Alabama, Michigan, Clemson, Washington, Louisville and Ohio State holding steady from last week. Wisconsin is next at 7th, Auburn is up three spots to eight, Oklahoma up three spots to nine and Texas A&M drops three spots to number 10. The Badgers will wait and see where they fall when the new College Football Playoff Rankings come out Tuesday.

The Bucks fell in overtime to Dallas 86-75. Jabari Parker had 16 points, Greg Monroe 14 to lead Milwaukee. Harrison Barnes had 34 for Dallas. The Bucks are 4-3, they host New Orleans on Thursday

Carl Edwards got the victory he desperately needed to earn a championship-contending spot in the NASCAR Sprint Cup finale, winning at Texas in a race shorted by 41 laps because of rain after the start had been delayed nearly six hours. With his fourth career win at Texas, Edwards joined Jimmie Johnson as drivers locked into championship-contending spots in Homestead. That leaves two spots up for grabs next Sunday at Phoenix.
