The Packers saw a 17 point lead evaporate in the fourth quarter, but defeated the Chicago Bears 30-27 on a 32 yard field goal from Mason Crosby as time expired to win their fourth straight game. Green Bay led 27-10 at the end of the 3rd quarter, but the Bears caught up on a touchdown reception by Alshon Jeffery, a touchdown run by Jordan Howard and a Connor Barth Field Goal. On a 3rd & 11 from their own 29, Aaron Rodgers connected with Jordy Nelson for 60 yards to set up Crosby’s game winner.

Rodgers threw for 252 yards, with no touchdowns and no interceptions in the game. Ty Montgomery ran for 162 yards and two touchdowns and Jordy Nelson had 7 catches for 124 yards. The Packers are 8-6, they host the Vikings on Christmas Eve.

Elsewhere in the NFC North:

The Colts defense held Adrian Peterson to 22 yards rushing on six carries in his return to action, as Indianapolis won 34-6 at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. Andrew Luck threw for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns and Robert Turbin ran for two scores as the Colts held the Vikings offense to just two second half field goals. The Vikings fall to 7-7.

Eli Manning threw for 201 yards and two touchdowns as the Giants held off the Lions 17-6. Odell Beckham Jr. had six catches for 64 yards and a touchdown as the Giants dropped the Lions to 9-5 and ended their five game winning streak. Detroit plays at Dallas on Monday night, December 26th.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have fired Gus Bradley, ending the least successful coaching tenure in NFL history. Owner Shad Khan announced the decision following a 21-20 loss at Houston on Sunday, a game in which the Jaguars (2-12) blew a nine-point lead in the fourth quarter. Khan considered the move in late October, following a debacle at Tennessee on national television, but opted to keep Bradley for seven more weeks. Bradley went 14-48 in four seasons in Jacksonville, the worst winning percentage (.225) of any NFL coach with at least 60 games of experience. The Jaguars were supposed to be considerably improved this season, but now have lost nine in a row. It’s the longest, single-season losing streak in franchise history

The College Football bowl season got underway Saturday with five games. The action continues this afternoon with the Miami Beach Bowl as Tulsa takes on Central Michigan.
