Men’s College Basketball:


Big Ten:


Michigan State 84, Wisconsin 74

--Nigel Hayes scored 22 points, Bronson Koenig 17 and Zak Showalter 15 for the Badgers, who have lost four out of their last five games. Wisconsin had a chance to pull back into a first place tie with Purdue, who lost to Michigan on Saturday, but instead fall one game back with two games to play. Wisconsin trailed by one (38-37) at halftime, but an 11-1 run for Michigan State in the second half helped the Spartans build a lead that they would hold.


The Badgers drop to 11-5 in the Big Ten and 22-7 overall. Wisconsin hosts Iowa on Thursday.

--Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 28 points, Michael Beasley 15 and Malcom Brogdon 14 as the Bucks held off the Suns in Milwaukee. The Bucks play at Cleveland tonight, pregame time is 5:40 on KFIZ.


Spring Training:


LA Dodgers 10, Milwaukee 8

--Left Fielder Ryan Cordell went 2-2 with a home run and 4 RBI in the loss to the Dodgers. Milwaukee plays at Texas this afternoon.


Golf: Rickie Fowler ended his 13-month winless skid on the PGA Tour by taking the Honda Classic in Florida. Fowler shot a 1-over 71 to score a four-shot victory over Gary Woodland and Morgan Hoffman. Fowler took control of the tournament with a 65 that left him 13-under through three rounds.


NASCAR: Kurt Busch won a wild Daytona 500 that saw the leaders run out of gas in the closing laps and featured 15 cars knocked out of the race early by wrecks. It was the first Daytona 500 victory for Busch in 16 starts, and the first for Tony Stewart as an owner or driver. Pole-sitter Chase Elliott appeared poised to win until he ran out of fuel with three laps remaining.
