The Brewers picked up a 3-1
win over the Reds on Sunday in Cincinnati.  Caleb Gindl hit a two run homer in the 2nd
and Jean Segura knocked in a run in the 7th for the Crew.  Marco Estrada struck out 9 and gave up just
one hit in seven innings of work to pick up the win.  Jim Henderson notched his 21st
save of the season despite giving up a 9th inning home run to Joey
Votto.  Milwaukee
opens up a series in Pittsburgh
on Tuesday night.

 

Harrell Cut

The Packers made it
official, cutting quarterback Graham Harrell on Sunday. 

The team also cut WR Alex Gillett, WR Omarius Hines, RB Angelo Pease, DT Gilbert Peña and WR Justin Wilson.  The team also added a kicker to the
mix, inking Zach Ramirez to a contract to compete with Mason Crosby and Giorgia
Tavecchio.  Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson
both returned to practice today after sitting out most of camp with
injuries.  The Packers final preseason
game is this Thursday in Kansas City.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.

 

Badger Football

The Badger football team
hosts Massachusetts
in their season opener on Saturday.

Badgers Hoops

The Wisconsin Badger men’s
basketball team beat Ryserson University 84-61 to improve to 3-1 on their Canadian
barnstorming tour last night in Toronto.  Sam Dekker led the way with 18 points.  The Badgers play their final game north of
the border today in Toronto.

 

Scott Wins

Adam Scott fired a final
round 66 to win the Barclays by one shot over four golfers including Tiger
Woods.

 

Little League World Series

Tokyo, Japan
won the Little League World Series with a 6-4 win over Chula Vista, California.
