NFC North Champs

The Green Bay Packers clinched their 2nd straight NFC North title with a 21-13 win over the Chicago Bears.  Aaron Rodgers connected with James Jones for 3 TD passes.  Clay Matthews returned to the lineup to sack Jay Cutler 2 times as the Packers defense handcuffed the Bears offense all afternoon.  The only concern coming out of the game is that kicker Mason Crosby missed two more field goals.  Head Coach Mike McCarthy continues to says Crosby’s job is safe.  The win improves the Packers to 10-4 on the season.  The Bears drop to 8-6 and are currently out of the NFC playoffs.

Finley Gone?

Bob McGinn of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported over the weekend that the Packers have already decided that they will part ways with tight end Jermichael Finley after the season.  Cutting Finley would clear $8.25 million dollars off of their salary cap.  McGinn’s source says competitive, financial and behavioral reasons for the decision.
