The Badger men’s basketball team picked up a 69-60 win over Illinois on Sunday night at the Kohl Center.  Ethan Happ scored 20 and Nigel Hayes 19 to lead UW.  The Badgers travel to 4th ranked Iowa on Wednesday night.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.   


Both state teams in the Horizon League are in action tonight as Green Bay hosts Cleveland State and Milwaukee plays host to Youngstown State


The Marian University men’s basketball team gets a #5 seed in the NACC Tournament and will travel to #4 seed Wisconsin Lutheran on Wednesday Night.


Denny Hamlin edged Martin Truex, Junior by just inches to win the Daytona 500 on Sunday afternoon in the NASCAR’s season opener.  It’s Hamlin’s 1st visit Victory Lane in The Great American Race.  Kyle Busch was 3rd, Kevin Harvick 4th, and Carl Edwards 5th.  Wisconsin native Matt Kenseth was 14th and fellow Wisconsin native Paul Menard was 18th.


The Bucks host the Lakers tonight in Kobe Bryant’s last visit to Milwaukee.  We’ll join the game in progress tonight after Fondy hoops on KFIZ.


Bubba Watson rallied to win the Northern Trust Open on the PGA Tour on Sunday. Watson had two late birdies to edge Richard Kokrak and Adam Scott by one shot.  Watson finished the event at -15.  Wisconsin native Mark Wagner finished tied for 72nd at +5.


We’ve got high school boys basketball tonight on KFIZ as Fond du Lac hosts Appelton North at the Acuity Fieldhouse.  Coverage begins at 7:05pm with the Tim Cruz Agency Pregame Show. The tip is set for 7:30pm.
