The Brewers snapped a four game losing streak with a 5-1 win over Arizona on Sunday afternoon. Wily Peralta struck out 8 and gave up just one run and seven hits in seven innings to earn the victory. Logan Schafer homered and drove in a pair for the Crew. Milwaukee heads into the All-Star Break 38-56 record. That’s good for last place in the National League Central. That’s the third worst record in baseball with only Miami and Houston worse. The Brewers are off until Friday when they host Miami.

The All-Star Break begins tonight with the Home Run Derby. The All-Star Game is Tuesday night at Citi Field in New York. Brewers outfielder Carlos Gomez and shortstop Jean Segura will be at this year’s game.
Bucks Summer League
The Bucks are 2-0 in the Las Vegas Summer League after a 69-61 win over New Orleans on Sunday. Dominque Jones had 16 to lead Milwaukee. John Henson sat out with a groin injury. The Bucks play again on Tuesday.
Teague Stays Put
The Milwaukee Bucks will move on without restricted free agent point guard Jeff Teague. The Hawks matched the 4 year, $32 million dollar offer sheet the Bucks had signed him to, meaning he will stay in Atlanta.
19-year-old Jordan Spieth beat David Hearn and Zach Johnson on the 5th playoff hole to win the John Deere Classic on the PGA Tour. He’s the youngest tour winner in over 80 years. Jerry Kelly finished tied for 4th while Steve Stricker tied for 10th. The British Open is this weekend.
NASCAR Sprint Cup
Brian Vickers won for the first time in 75 races taking the Green-White checkered flag in New Hampshire on Sunday. Kyle Busch was 2nd and and Jeff Burton 3rd. Matt Kenseth was 9th.
WIAA Summer Baseball
The WIAA Summer Baseball Tournament has reached the Sectional today. In our area, Kewaskum plays Plymouth in Campbellsport at 11am this morning.
