The Arizona Diamondbacks shutout the Brewers 3-0 on Sunday
in Phoenix.  Jeremy Hellickson gave up just four hits in
six innings of work to pick up the win. 
Three D-Backs relievers threw 3 hitless innings.  Matt Garza gave up just 3 runs and 7 hits in
7 innings to take the hard luck loss. 
The Brewers open up a three game series in San Francisco on Tuesday night.   You’ll hear it on KFIZ.

 

Kyle Busch won the Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor
Speedway on Sunday.  Joey Lagano was 2nd
and Kevin Harvick 3rdCambridge, Wisconsin
native Matt Kenseth was 7th and Eau Claire’s Paul Menard finished 14th.

 

Jason Day won the RBC Canadian Open on the PGA Tour Sunday.
Day finished one shot better than Bubba Watson.

Joe DuChateau won the 2015 Fond du Lac County
Amateur Golf Tournament’s Championship Flight at Rolling Meadows Golf Course on
Sunday.  DuChateau’s final round 73 gave
him a two day total of 147. That was 3 shots better than Eric Schroeder who
finished the two day event at +7.  1st
round leader Brady Sarauer finished 3rd after a 2nd round
79.   In the “A-Flight” Chad Bodden and
Richard Staehling tied at 156 (+12).  In
the “B-Flight” Gene Cha’s 2nd round 78 gave him a two day total of
163 (+19).  Fred Bergman finished 3 shots
off the pace.  Patti Pelischek won the “Women’s
Flight,”  Brady Sarauer took the “Junior
Flight,” and John Freismuth took the “Senior Flight.”
