Mark Reynolds
single to left in the bottom of the 9th plated Rickie Weeks and gave
the Brewers a 6-5 win over the Yankees on Sunday at a sold out Miller Park.  The Yankees Mark Teixeira hit a two out, two
strike homer off of Francisco Rodriguez in the 9th to tie the game
at 5.  It was the first run given up and
the first blown save of the year for K-Rod, who ended up picking up the win.  At 24-14 the Brewers lead the NL Central by 5
games over St. Louis.

The Packers feel
they’ve filled needs on both sides of the ball as the NFL Draft wrapped up on
Saturday.  Packers GM Ted Thompson did
not make any trades and selected four defensive players and five offensive
players.

The Packers also appear ready to sign Alabama linebacker
Adrian Hubbard to a contract.  He went
undrafted because of a heart issue, which he says has been resolved.  Before the medial issue he would have been a
mid-round pick and could be the best undrafted player on the market.

Five Badgers
were drafted including Dezmen Southward by Atlanta,
Chris Borland by San Francisco, James White by
New England, Jerad Abbrederis by Green
Bay
and Beau Allen by the Eagles.  Other Badgers inked free agent contracts
including tight ends Jacob Pedersen and Brian Wazniak with Atlanta
Offensive lineman Ryan Groy signs with the Bears. Defensive lineman
Ethan Hemer inked a deal with Pittsburgh.
Former Badger QB Danny O’Brien also
signed with Atlanta.
