Brewers Swept

The St. Louis Cardinals got out the brooms and completed the four game sweep of the Brewers with a 10-1 win on Sunday afternoon at Miller Park.  The Cardinals put up six runs in the 2nd inning of starter Marco Estrada and never looked back on Sunday.  The Brewers have lost five in a row and will take today off before opening up a quick two game interleague series with Texas on Tuesday night at Miller Park.

LeBron Wins MVP

Miami’s LeBron James has been named the NBA’s MVP for the 4th time in his career.  James received 120 of 121 first place votes.   Kevin Durant was 2nd.  Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks got the other lone first place vote.  He was 3rd in the balloting.

 

Packers Make O-Line Change

The Green Bay Packers will be shaking up their offensive line in 2013.  Tackle Brian Bulaga and guard Josh Sitton will be moving to the left side.  TJ Lang will play right guard while Evan Dietrich-Smith will still be at center.  Right tackle will be up for grabs as Marshall Newhouse, Don Barclay and Derek Sherrod will be among those competing for the spot.

 

Ragan Wins

David Ragan won the rain delayed event at Talladega on Sunday afternoon.  A late push allowed from David Gilliland pushed them to the front.  Carl Edwards was 3rd.


PGA Tour

David Ernst won the PGA Tour event Charlotte, North Carolina in a playoff over David Lynn. Phil Mickelson was 3rd

High School Baseball on KFIZ

We’ve got high school baseball tonight on KFIZ as WLA hosts cross town rival St. Mary’s Springs.  Coverage begins at 4:05pm with the Backyard Grill Pregame Show.  The first pitch is set for 4:30pm.  The game will also stream at kfiz.com.
