The Packers rallied to a 31-24 win over the New York Jets on
Sunday at Lambeau Field.  Green Bay fell behind
21-3 but fought back to 21-16 at the half. 
Mason Crosby kicked three field goals including a Lambeau Field record
55 yarder.  Tramon Williams picked off
Geno Smith at the 3 yard line late in the first half allowing Aaron Rodgers to
lead Green Bay
on a 97 yard drive in the final two minutes capped off by a Randall Cobb TD
catch.   Cobb added another TD catch
before Jordy Nelson brought the house down with an 80 yard catch and run from
Rodgers.  Nelson finished with catches
for 209 yards and the one TD. Rodgers threw for 346 yards and 3 TDs.  Eddie Lacy had just 43 yards on 13
carries.  Green Bay
(1-1) heads to Detroit
next Sunday.

 

Florida
State
is #1 in both
college football polls this week.  Oregon is #2 in the AP Poll while Alabama is #2 in the Coaches Poll. Wisconsin is #19 in the
AP and #17 in the Coaches Poll.  The
Badgers will host Bowling Green on Sunday at Camp Randall.  Coverage begins at 9am with the kickoff set
for 11am on KFIZ.

 

The Brewers pounded the Reds 9-2 on Sunday.  Matt Clark and Mark Reynolds homered in the
win. Jonathan Lucroy also drove in a pair as Matt Garza evened his record at
8-8 on the season.  The Brewers open up a
huge three game series on St. Louis
on Tuesday night.  The Brewers remain 5
games back of St. Louis after the Cardinals beat
Colorado
4-1.  The Pirates hold a 1.5 game lead
for the final wild card spot in the NL after beating the Cubs 7-3.

 

Billy Horschel won the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup
championship on the PGA Tour with a 3 shot win over Rory McIlroy and Jim
Furyk.  The win also gains Horschel a $10
million dollar payday. 

 

Brad Keselowski won the first race of NASCAR’s Chase For the
Championship in Chicago.
 Jeff Gordon was 2nd.   Those two are both 1 and 2 in the points as
well.

 

The United States
won the FIBA Basketball World Cup 129-92 over Serbia on Sunday.  Kyrie Irving had 26 points and was the
event’s MVP.
