WIAA Football Playoffs: Level 2

Division 1: 

Fond du Lac 38, Milwaukee King 6. 

Colton Wasieleski ran for three touchdowns and Keon Jefferson ran for two of his own as the Cardinals took control after falling behind 6-0 early to advance to level 3. The Cardinals will travel to Kimberly for their level 3 game. The Papermakers defeated Appleton West 42-7 Friday night. 

Division 5: 

Winnebago Lutheran 10, Southern Door 7. The Vikings knock off the #2 seed and previously unbeaten Eagles. Eric Schmitz with a rushing touchdown for WLA, who plays at Amherst in level 3. Amherst defeated Spencer/Columbus Catholic 42-14. 

Also in Division 5, Lancaster defeated Laconia 34-21. The Spartans led 7-0 at halftime, but fell to the #2 seeded Arrows. Jake Beattie had two touchdown receptions for the Spartans in the loss. 

In Division 6: 

St. Mary’s Springs defeated Lake Country Lutheran 31-12 in level 2. Clay Schueffner had two touchdown runs for the Ledgers, who advance to level 3 and a rematch with Ozaukee. Ozaukee defeated Iola-Scandinavia 17-0. The Ledgers defeated Ozaukee in week 3 35-25 at Fruth Field. 

The Oakfield Oaks football team is playing in the 8-man football jamboree at D.C. Everest High School this afternoon. The Oaks will play Luck in the two-seed game, which kicks off at 4pm. 

Boys Volleyball: 

WIAA Regional Final 

Homestead 3, Fond du Lac 2 (25-21, 12-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-8)

Boys Soccer: 

WIAA Division 4 Sectional Championship Game:

Winnebago Lutheran vs. St. Lawrence Seminary. Game is at 1pm at Lomira High School. It will be the third meeting between the teams this year. The winner earns a trip to the state tournament next week. 

Women’s College Volleyball: 

Ripon 3, Marian 0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-23)

Women’s College Hockey: 

St. Mary’s (MN) 4, Marian 3

Men’s College Hockey

#2 St. Norbert 6, #15 Marian 0. The two teams play again tonight at the Blue Line in Fond du Lac. Game time is 7pm. 

College Football: Badgers host Nebraska. Pregame at 4pm, kickoff at 6pm on 1450 KFIZ. 

MLB: Cleveland takes game 3 of the World Series 1-0 over the Chicago Cubs. The Indians hold a 2-1 series lead with game four tonight at Chicago.
