Golf: Jordan Spieth remains the leader at the midway point of the PGA’s Travelers Championship in Connecticut. Spieth followed yesterday’s 63 with a 1-under 69 that puts him one shot ahead of Patrick Reed and Troy Merritt. Fourth-ranked Jason Day missed the cut for the second straight week.

 

Paul Broadhurst shot a nine-under par 63 to hold the lead at the American Family Insurance Open on the Champions Tour at University Ridge in Madison. Brian Henninger shot a 65, while tournament host Steve Stricker shot a 66 along with Kenny Perry and Billy Andrade.
