The Brewers continue there winning ways as they defeated the pirates last night 5 to 3.  Kyle Lohse was effective as he pitched into the seventh inning and Carlos Gomez added a home run for the brewers in the victory.  Francisco Rodriguez continued his success also as he earned his 5th save in 5 opportunities.   The series continues tonight as Matt Garza gets the start against Wandy Rodriguez.  Coverage begins at 5:30 right here on news talk 1450 KFIZ.  The first pitch is set for 6:05.

Threw the first round of NHL playoffs, the Colorado avalanche defeated the Minnesota Wild 5 to 4, that series will continue tonight at 8:30.  The Chicago Blackhawks also received there first loss as they lost to the St. Louis Blues 4 to 3.  That series will also continue today as the puck will drop at 4:00.  The Detroit Red wings scored a goal at 3:01 left in the period as they went on to defeat the Boston Bruins 1 to 0. That series will continue Sunday at 3:00.

The NBA playoffs get the go ahead today as Brooklyn will take on Toronto, golden State will take on the Los Angelus Clippers, Atlanta will take on Indiana, and Memphis will take on the Kevin Durant and the heavily favored Oklahoma City Thunder.

In collage softball, Marian University played a doubleheader yesterday against Ripon Collage.  Marian won the first game 4 to 3 and Ripon won the second with a score of 2 to 1.  Marian will Jump back into conference play today as the will face the warriors of Wisconsin Lutheran at noon.
