Brewers Fall

The Arizona Diamondbacks stopped the Brewers 3-1 last night at Miller Park.  Kyle Lohse was impressive in his Brewers debut giving up just 1 run and 5 hits in 6 innings of work.  Burke Badenhop took the loss, as two runs scored in a wild-pitch by Mike Gonzalez.  Ryan Braun was a late scratch with neck spasms.  Aramis Ramirez sprained his knee sliding into 2nd base and left the game in the 4th innings.  A Jean Segura home run was the Brewers only offense of the night. The series continues tonight at Miller Park. Mike Fiers is set to start against Patrick Corbin.  Coverage begins at 5:35pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

Injuries End Gilberts Career

Badgers defensive lineman David Gilbert has decided to quit football because of nagging foot injuries. He broke his foot a couple of times in 2011 and fought through injuries last year to start 13 of 14 games.   Despite foot problems last year he still garnered honorable mention All-Big Ten honors.
