Waupun American Legion baseball split a pair of games in the Central Plains Division 2 Regional Tournament on Friday. Post 210 beat Valley City of North Dakota 2-0 in their first game of the day — one that was postponed due to rain on Thursday. Waupun then lost to Greenwood-Lowry of Minnesota 11-1. Waupun will play Viroqua at 10am today.

A bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the 11th inning lifted the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 3-2 win over  the Brewers Friday night. Wellington Castillo drew the walk from Brewers reliever Blaine Boyer, which scored Paul Goldschmidt. A home run by Keon Broxton tied the game at 2 for the Brewers in the 7th, before the walk ended the game in extras. Game two of the series is tonight, a 6:35 pregame on News/Talk 1450 KFIZ.

Former Packers quarterback Brett Favre will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame tonight in Canton, Ohio. His wife, Deanna will present him at the ceremony. Former Packers linebackers coach Kevin Greene will also be inducted into the hall tonight.

The current Packers are continuing preparation for the Hall of Fame Game Sunday night in Canton, Ohio. It looks like third string Quarterbacks Marquise Williams and Joe Callahan will take the bulk of the snaps in the preseason opener against the Colts. Starter Aaron Rodgers likely won’t play and backup Brett Hundley has been battling an ankle injury he suffered in practice on Monday. Former NFL and Wisconsin Badgers running back Montee Ball has been sentenced to 60 days in jail after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct and battery for his role in two domestic abuse incidents. In an agreement with prosecutors, the 25-year-old Ball entered the plea to three of six charges against him. Ball was charged with battery and disorderly conduct in February after his girlfriend told police he had thrown her across a Madison hotel room. About a month later, a previous girlfriend told police she had been assaulted by Ball in 2014. He was charged with strangulation, substantial battery and disorderly conduct. A Dane County judge Friday also ordered Ball to serve 18 months of probation.

Madison native Jerry Kelly has fallen into a tie for 5th at the Travelers Championship being held at Cromwell, Connecticut. Kelly shot an even par-70 on Friday. Tyrone Van Aswegen, Daniel Berger, Russell Henley and Marc Lieshman are all tied for the lead at minus-7.
