It’s a sign that Springs is
coming as pitchers and catchers are set to report to the Brewers Spring
Training site in Maryvale, Arizona
The position players are set to report on February 21st.  The first Cactus League game is on February
27th. Our first Brewers broadcasts on KFIZ is set for Friday,
February 28th when the Brewers take on the Giants.

 

It’s NBA All-Star Weekend in
New Orleans.  Bucks rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo played for
Grant Hill’s team as they beat Team Chris Webber 148-142 in OT in the Rising
Stars Game. . The Bucks rookie scored 9 points in 17 minutes of action.   He will also take part in tonight’s Taco
Bell Skills Challenge.  The Slam Dunk and
3-point contest is also set for tonight. 
The All-Star Game is Sunday night at 7pm on TNT.

 

The Bucks announced on
Friday that center Larry Sanders will miss at least six weeks with a broken
bone around his eye.

 

In the Big East today, Marquette hosts Xavier
with the tip set for 3pm.  In the Horizon
League today, league leader UW-Green Bay is at Cleveland
State, while UW-Milwaukee hosts Valparaiso.  The Badgers play at Michigan
on Sunday with a noon tip Wisconsin time.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.

line jumper with 3 seconds left lifted Fond
du Lac
to a 44-42 win over Menasha on Friday night at
the Acuity Fieldhouse.  The Cardinals
went on a 24-8 run from the start of the 2nd quarter to late in the
3rd quarter to open up a 38-19 lead on the Blue Jays and then had to
hold on. Sosalla and Marcus Ruch finished with 11 points each.  Brian Luteyn had 10 and Matt Dilling 7 for
Fondy.  The win snaps an 8 game losing
skid and improves Fond du Lac
to 4-12 in the FVA and 5-15 overall.  The
Cardinals head to Appleton East on Monday night,  You’ll hear all the action on KFIZ. Coverage
begins at 7:05pm with the Backyard Grill Pregame Show.
