The Brewers picked up a 4-1 win over the Pirates on Friday
night in their series opener at Miller
Park
.  Gerardo Parra had a pair of hits to lead the
offense.  Mike Fiers picked up the win
with seven solid innings, giving up just 1 run and 3 hits.  The series continues tonight. Coverage begins

The Fond du Lac Post 75
American Legion Baseball Team saw their season come to an end on Friday with a
5-1 loss to Sheboygan
at the U17 Regionals on Friday.  Post 75’s
year ends at 14-10.

 

New Holstein advanced to the Sectional of the WIAA Summer Baseball Tournament with a 4-0 win over Campbellsport on Friday.  The Huskies will play Plymouth on Monday at Noon in Howards Grove in a Sectional Semifinal. A win would put them in the Sectional Final at 7:30pm on Monday night. 


The New York Knicks beat the Bucks 84-76 at the Las Vegas
Summer League.  Rashad Vaughn led the way
with 20 points.  Vaughn, Milwaukee’s 1st round pick, signed
his rookie contract on Friday.

 

The British Open has been delayed by high winds at St. Andrews.  They
will finish the 2nd round today. 
The 3rd round will be on Sunday and the final round on Monday. 

Lambeau Field is sold out tonight as Brett Favre will be inducted to the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.
