The Brewers started the second half of the season on the right track by defeating the Nationals 4 to 2.  Lohse limited the Nationals to one run over seven innings despite giving up 10 hits and allowing at least one base runner in every inning.  Scooter Gennett and Khris Davis homered to help the Brewers take the series opener between division leaders. Aramis Ramirez added a two-run single for the Brewers. Lohse (10-4) picked up his first win since June 22 as Washington went 1 for 10 with runners in scoring position. Milwaukee shortstop Jean Segura was back in the lineup, a week after the death of his 9-month-old son, and went 1 for 4. He received a warm ovation from the Nationals Park crowd prior to his first at-bat.  Milwaukee will send Matt Garza to the mound tonight, coverage begins at 5:30pm and of course you can here that game right here on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

Scores around the NL central yesterday; the Yankees beat the Reds 4 to 3,  the Pirates beat the Rockies 4 to 2,  the Diamondbacks beat the Cubs 5 to 4, and the Cardinals beat the Dodgers 3 to 2.

The Green Bay Packers will induct two more members into the franchise’s Hall of Fame tonight.  Running Back Ahman Green and left tackle Ken Ruettgers will be enshrined tonight at a ceremony in Green Bay.  After being traded from Seattle in 2000, Green played 8 seasons in Titletown and is the team’s all-time leading rusher with 8322 yards.  Ruettgers played 12 seasons in Green Bay after being drafted in the first round of the 1985 NFL Draft.  He was the team’s 1989 Offensive MVP.

The Bucks rapped up a summer league game against the golden state warriors on Friday. The bucks prevailed with a 79-74 victory.  Jabari Parker finished with 20 points and also went right on his defender with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter for a nasty reverse slam.   Fellow Buck Chris Wright also added 15 points and 8 rebounds.   This raps up NBA summer league play.

Rory Mcilory leads the British open at 11 under par.  Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods are both at par for the Championship.
